Homeschool Planners, Science Book Winner, and Prayer Requests

Homeschool Planners, Science Book Winner, and Prayer Requests

My boys are squeezing the last few drops out of the summer while mommy is pre-occupied with preparing for the homeschool year. And painting my game room “greige”. Goodbye, teal blue “underwater” school room. You were fun. My husband is convinced that this will be the magic that brings the buyer we need for the […]

Jesus and Juice… plus Heather’s Kick-Cancer’s Butt Juice Recipe

Jesus and Juice… plus Heather’s Kick-Cancer’s Butt Juice Recipe

I use the hashtag #JesusandJuice a lot on Instagram. I’m big on both: Jesus and Juice. I have to say before I go much farther, though, that I’m just a girl who believed big. I did my own research and decided that kicking cancer’s butt without chemo was the route I was going to take. […]

Creation Sunday Series: Space and Time

Creation Sunday Series: Space and Time

My boys are really interested in outer space. My youngest has a fascination (and addiction) to the app “Star Chart”. Each one of my boys has gone through a solar system phase – some longer than others – in their lives. We have what seems like three or four whole shelves in our homeschool library […]

Do You Believe in Fate?

Do You Believe in Fate?

I found this tiny little draft post today while doing some blog housework and it was too good not to share… I’d love it if you share your crazy stories like this with me in the comment section below! I love it when tiny everyday miracles happen. – – – – – – My husband […]

Creation Sunday Series: Desert Wonders

Creation Sunday Series: Desert Wonders

There are so many stories of the wilderness in the Bible. In the wilderness, a place of barrenness and hunger, God nourishes with manna… Jesus is tempted, God’s people are tested, revelation and law is given, miracles happen, and God makes covenants with nations. He calls many a great man into the desert to begin […]

Creation Sunday Series: Be Thou My Vision

This is the song that was in my head the morning that my friend’s daughter graduated …. and they played this song during the graduation. Don’t you love it when God gives you a little tidbit multiple times, as if He means it just for you? I just love old hymns. This is one of […]

Ode to Not Giving Up, Otherwise Titled: Homeschool Graduation

Ode to Not Giving Up, Otherwise Titled: Homeschool Graduation

June has come again. Two years ago this time of year, I was helping my then 19 year old son finish up his last few senior projects and course work so he could graduate. We were in the thralls of convention season here in Texas and I was taking photos for THSC… two conventions in […]

Spritti Who?

Howdy. I'm Heather.

I'm a Christian Wife, Foodie, Writer, Homeschool Teacher, Artist....

OH YEAH, I'm also a Professional Event, Portrait, Art & Wedding Photographer - (which currently is the only job I get paid for).

I'm also a DIY amateur, Gourmet Cook on a mission to eat clean with good reason - I was diagnosed with colon cancer in August of 2016 (read: bona-fide health nut), and I have a cacti collection that is bordering on a business... a hobby farm we are just now beginning as a new adventure for our family... and of course, as you might expect living in rattlesnake country, I'm a gun-toting Native Texan (Yeehaw!)

I've been trapping Google-searchers here since 2005.

Bless your little heart. I'm so glad you stopped by.
