BIG LIST of HOMESCHOOL FIELD TRIPS

BIG LIST of HOMESCHOOL FIELD TRIPS

We’ve been a great many field trips in all the years I’ve homeschooled. We started homeschooling in 2001. I began blogging about it in 2005, and many of our field trips have been documented in some fashion here. I still have a ton to get blogged, but homeschooling got ahead of me – my eldest […]

Field Trip Foto Friday: Pinnacle Mountain Rendezvous

We were drawn back in to American history on that mild October day in Arkansas. There was the smell of musket-fire and fall leaves in the air. My children rubbed their hands on fox pelts and watched the ‘settlers’ whittle as they rocked in rocking chairs with the fall breeze at their backs. From their […]

Field Trip Foto Friday: McArthur Military Museum

We were moving to Arkansas in the middle of our Military Unit back in the early part of the school year (October) 2005-6. We didn’t get very many field trips done for that unit (and that was a shame because there were plenty of military bases and places to see near Little Rock). It took […]

Field Trip Foto Friday: Old State House Museum – Little Rock, AR

The Arkansas Old Statehouse is a charming white building with its Greek-inspired columns and beautiful black accents. When we first saw it, it seemed to beckon us inside. That was before I even knew it was a museum; back when we first arrived in Arkansas in 2005. When I discovered that it was on the […]

Field Trip Foto Friday: Arkansas Trolley

Who doesn’t love a trolley? Every American kid from the time they can sit up straight has seen Mr. Rogers and his cute little trolley that whisks us into make-believe land. They add historical charm back to our modern cities with their wooden benches, cling-clanging bells and shiny brass poles. They make us turn our […]

Field Trip Foto Friday: Six Flags Homeschool Day

Six Flags over Texas in Arlington is a fun place (even if you aren’t a homeschooler). It is even more fun for us with over four thousand homeschool kids and their families there. The photos in this post are from “Six Flags Homeschool Day” and were taken in May of 2006. We were living in […]

Field Trip Foto Friday: The Old Mill

Time for another Field Trip Foto Friday (although this one is a day late). I typed it on Friday (in case you are grading me)… but I needed to get yesterday’s post up, too. I’m actually on retreat this weekend ~ so I wanted to be prepared to just click and post while I was […]

Spritti Who?

Howdy. I'm Heather.

I'm a Christian Wife, Foodie, Writer, Homeschool Teacher, Artist....

OH YEAH, I'm also a Professional Event, Portrait, Art & Wedding Photographer - (which currently is the only job I get paid for).

I'm also a DIY amateur, Gourmet Cook on a mission to eat clean with good reason - I was diagnosed with colon cancer in August of 2016 (read: bona-fide health nut), and I have a cacti collection that is bordering on a business... a hobby farm we are just now beginning as a new adventure for our family... and of course, as you might expect living in rattlesnake country, I'm a gun-toting Native Texan (Yeehaw!)

I've been trapping Google-searchers here since 2005.

Bless your little heart. I'm so glad you stopped by.
