Back in Austin

Back in Austin

Waving Hi from under the piles of papers on my desk. It’s a good thing I am not a vlogger. You would be laughing at my stacks of tax documents and folders right now… or maybe commiserating, since it’s tax season and most of us are chomping at the bit for a refund. I’ll be […]

22 Homeschool Mom Goals

22 Homeschool Mom Goals

Remember that graphic I shared at the beginning of 2016 that said… “Count your blessings instead of your crosses?” Then it went on to ask you to add up gains instead of losses, joys instead of woes, friends instead of foes, smiles instead of tears, courage instead of fears, full years instead of lean, kind […]

Busy Summer Days

Busy Summer Days

I thought I would do random with you. It’s been a while since we’ve just sat down to chat at the computer – you with your cup of tea, me with my touch of crazy. So what’s been going on with us since the last post in July? Let’s see… a glance back over the […]

Sleepy Little Note

I’ve been tired enough to take a nap today since 2PM. The only reason why I didn’t is because I had too much to get done. This week has been much the same… Monday we crammed homeschool in a condensed pile of assignments and tried to dig out of last weekend’s laundry pile. Tuesday we […]

This Week, the Freight Train…

Ever feel like you were just about to get run over by a fast train, coming down the tracks – right at you? That’s my week this week. Let’s get the bad news out of the way first. I’ve been absorbed by the busy work for the Homeschool Blog Awards and as usual, neglecting my […]

Some Things in a List

Things tend to pile up on a homeschooling mother. Like kids. And laundry. And messes. And blog posts that were born in the dark recesses of her mind while she was taking a ten minute hot shower and utilizing the only free moment of her day she isn’t doing something for a busy little person […]

Spritti Who?

Howdy. I'm Heather.

I'm a Christian Wife, Foodie, Writer, Homeschool Teacher, Artist....

OH YEAH, I'm also a Professional Event, Portrait, Art & Wedding Photographer - (which currently is the only job I get paid for).

I'm also a DIY amateur, Gourmet Cook on a mission to eat clean with good reason - I was diagnosed with colon cancer in August of 2016 (read: bona-fide health nut), and I have a cacti collection that is bordering on a business... a hobby farm we are just now beginning as a new adventure for our family... and of course, as you might expect living in rattlesnake country, I'm a gun-toting Native Texan (Yeehaw!)

I've been trapping Google-searchers here since 2005.

Bless your little heart. I'm so glad you stopped by.
