Pizza Salad and a Menu

Pizza Salad and a Menu

There will be a recipe in this post; I promise. First, I have to digress… Talk about glitchy. I accidentally posted this draft last night when I went to save it. Ha! So today, you have the udpated version and an idea of how long it really takes a post to make it to viability […]

The Very Best Grain-Free, Gluten-Free Paleo Brownies

If you know me, you should know that I am crazy about chocolate. In fact, I eat one of these brownies (or 2-3 of them) per day. They are HEATHER APPROVED. Not only that, but everyone we’ve shared them with asks for the recipe… which is why I’m putting it here. I can now just […]

Flourless Honey-Sweet Peanut Butter Brownies

I can see the future. ESP, I tell you. Here’s what I know: You are going to thank me for this 4-ingredient recipe. People at your next potluck or party are going to thank YOU. Your kids might nominate you for mom of the year, even. If you love peanut-butter, and are trying to stay […]

Cherry Pineapple Pecan Jello

I actually called Nana tonight and asked for her to walk me step-by-step through this recipe so I could feed my craving. She always makes this for Thanksgiving and Christmas upon request by everyone in the family, and sometimes waiting is just too much. Thankfully, I had the ingredients on hand during our “shop the […]

The Big List of Lunch Ideas

Are you ever stumped on what to make for lunch for your homeschool or preschool kids? Homeschoolers do have the advantage because they can eat healthier mom-approved foods at home, and take more time for lunch if they want; but if Mom is frazzled, not prepared, or at a loss for what to make, it […]

Fed Up 2 Fit – Week 9 Update: Hand in the Cookie Jar

Still stuck – 7 pounds down since the beginning of February – and now it’s March… and can’t seem to move the needle. That photo was taken in the beginning of last month. Today was 143.8 – and the lowest I have been (a week ago) is 142 even. Now that is a big change […]

Kristen’s Wedding Cake

What is it about wedding cakes that make them all have ‘issues’? Mine nearly fell over at my reception. Seems Kristen (although her day seemed nearly perfect) had the same trouble with hers. Looks pretty, right? Well I don’t know if it was the heat or what… but it started to lean and slide. Her […]

Spritti Who?

Howdy. I'm Heather.

I'm a Christian Wife, Foodie, Writer, Homeschool Teacher, Artist....

OH YEAH, I'm also a Professional Event, Portrait, Art & Wedding Photographer - (which currently is the only job I get paid for).

I'm also a DIY amateur, Gourmet Cook on a mission to eat clean with good reason - I was diagnosed with colon cancer in August of 2016 (read: bona-fide health nut), and I have a cacti collection that is bordering on a business... a hobby farm we are just now beginning as a new adventure for our family... and of course, as you might expect living in rattlesnake country, I'm a gun-toting Native Texan (Yeehaw!)

I've been trapping Google-searchers here since 2005.

Bless your little heart. I'm so glad you stopped by.
