A Little Bit of Christmas Perspective

A Little Bit of Christmas Perspective

I’ve been a blogger for over a decade and while I don’t see myself giving up, I’m really OK with stopping to live life and allowing a silence. It began creeping up on me over the past few years with high schoolers and preschoolers and now an elementary schooler and I’ve seen the finish line […]

A Slow December (and why that’s not such a bad thing)

A Slow December (and why that’s not such a bad thing)

Ever get the feeling that God is intentionally slowing you down? Well that’s where I’m at this 2015 Advent season. I started out on a roll, getting the tree up before Advent started… then… I caught the same cold that my four year old has had THREE times now since early November. We’ve been down […]

Teaching Kids to Care for Those Who are Less Fortunate: Operation Christmas Child

Teaching Kids to Care for Those Who are Less Fortunate: Operation Christmas Child

It is hard to read the news these days with what is happening in the middle east. There are people being tortured, killed, separated from family, and children being sold into a life of slavery. Their pain is beyond what I can comprehend. Not just in this time of crisis with the fanatical soldiers of […]

Pack a Shoebox, Jack.

You know me… skating in at the last minute. I live under a rock called “homeschooling two teenagers and keeping two toddlers from destroying the world”. Sometimes things slip off my calendar before I have time to get to them. But not this time! I still have 24 hours to pack a shoe-box for Operation […]

A Tribute For Mother’s Day

Do you have someone you love? Sure you do. We all do. We were created to share our hearts and desire companionship. With mother’s day just around the corner, I thought I’d share a little bit about two of the people I have loved the most in this world. Inspired by the J&J Campaign called […]

Spritti Who?

Howdy. I'm Heather.

I'm a Christian Wife, Foodie, Writer, Homeschool Teacher, Artist....

OH YEAH, I'm also a Professional Event, Portrait, Art & Wedding Photographer - (which currently is the only job I get paid for).

I'm also a DIY amateur, Gourmet Cook on a mission to eat clean with good reason - I was diagnosed with colon cancer in August of 2016 (read: bona-fide health nut), and I have a cacti collection that is bordering on a business... a hobby farm we are just now beginning as a new adventure for our family... and of course, as you might expect living in rattlesnake country, I'm a gun-toting Native Texan (Yeehaw!)

I've been trapping Google-searchers here since 2005.

Bless your little heart. I'm so glad you stopped by.
