Pending and Packing

Pending and Packing

And so it begins… the page is turning… we are moving on to the next chapter. I found myself wanting to text my mama and tell her all about what was going on today. Reality stings. Holidays are always hard times of year for those who have lost someone. I wish I was better about […]

One Year Without My Mama

One Year Without My Mama

Today was the day my mama was found last year, so I shared this on Instagram today in her honor. I had a dream yesterday morning at the time she most likely died according to the coroner. At about 5am my 7 year old came in to wake me because Daddy wanted me to drive […]

2017, The Year of Gratitude

2017, The Year of Gratitude

Someone asked me what the best thing about Christmas was for me this year. Before this year, I might have thought about all the people I spent Christmas with, the gifts, the music, the tinsel, the “magic” of the season… but this year, although all of those things are PART of the holiday “magic”, only […]

Spritti Who?

Howdy. I'm Heather.

I'm a Christian Wife, Foodie, Writer, Homeschool Teacher, Artist....

OH YEAH, I'm also a Professional Event, Portrait, Art & Wedding Photographer - (which currently is the only job I get paid for).

I'm also a DIY amateur, Gourmet Cook on a mission to eat clean with good reason - I was diagnosed with colon cancer in August of 2016 (read: bona-fide health nut), and I have a cacti collection that is bordering on a business... a hobby farm we are just now beginning as a new adventure for our family... and of course, as you might expect living in rattlesnake country, I'm a gun-toting Native Texan (Yeehaw!)

I've been trapping Google-searchers here since 2005.

Bless your little heart. I'm so glad you stopped by.
