Preparing for a New School Year… and SENIORS! Yikes

Preparing for a New School Year… and SENIORS! Yikes

Now that the new computer is mostly set up, the desk is cleaned off, the file cabinet drawers (not all of them, but the ones that count) have had an overhaul, and my summer photography commitments are over… I’m gearing up for the school year. We’ve cleaned out the supplies and purchased a few new […]

Wrapping Up a Homeschool School-year and Grading the Teacher

So the summer has begun. I officially quit adding to the weekly assignment list spiral over a week ago and we are in our first 2 month summer break in a long while. We have homeschooled year round by necessity for the past few years because of distractions (two of them who are 6 and […]

My Low-Tech Spiral Notebook Weekly Assignment List for the Teens

I haven’t done a homeschooly post in a while and honestly, we’ve had a difficult year, but we are trucking along. In the beginning of the year I had ideas of how things were going to go, but as the bible verse says, “many are the plans of a man’s heart but the Lord directs […]

Almost Back to School: Starting With God

Almost Back to School: Starting With God

I don’t know about you, but I’m in high gear prep-for-school mode around the bee hive. My sweet mama whisked my teens and five-year-old away to her house over the weekend and let me spend some much needed time with Daddy and the 3 year old getting rest, and enjoying a little quiet mama time […]

Almost Back to School Series

Almost Back to School Series

I’m the snail of back to school this year, still gnawing away last year’s summer school, trying to get reluctant teens to finish up projects mama requires before next year. We’re actually finishing last year a week before we start this year… and I promised my kids a “Year End” party, so this year, our […]

Spritti Who?

Howdy. I'm Heather.

I'm a Christian Wife, Foodie, Writer, Homeschool Teacher, Artist....

OH YEAH, I'm also a Professional Event, Portrait, Art & Wedding Photographer - (which currently is the only job I get paid for).

I'm also a DIY amateur, Gourmet Cook on a mission to eat clean with good reason - I was diagnosed with colon cancer in August of 2016 (read: bona-fide health nut), and I have a cacti collection that is bordering on a business... a hobby farm we are just now beginning as a new adventure for our family... and of course, as you might expect living in rattlesnake country, I'm a gun-toting Native Texan (Yeehaw!)

I've been trapping Google-searchers here since 2005.

Bless your little heart. I'm so glad you stopped by.
