And to think that I have ever questioned my own parenting skills. Pthhh. What were these people thinking? A weekend trip is enough… but then a delayed flight that didn’t bring them home until Wednesday? Those poor kids would have probably been eating catfood if the grandma had not called to wish them a Happy New Year.

This horrifies me. My kids are 5 and 9 – and just trying to imagine them left to their own devices for days makes me shiver. Thinking of all the awful things that could have happened…I’m speechless.
I feel bad for those kids.
Yes… there’s no way I would even go in Wal-Mart and leave my kids in the car. Much less leave them alone at home.
