Way back in 2008, I took my list of links I had been gathering and put them in ONE post. It became one of my most popular posts. So I figure it deserved a little TLC – some updating and adding to since so many years have passed.
Most of them I used (or still use) for my own homeschooling and others have been passed on to me through homeschool friends, online groups, or co-ops. There are so many to pick from – too much to look at in one sitting… so take your time and bookmark this post.
I will continue to try and keep it updated. If you find a link that you feel has merit, please don’t hesitate to email me. If I do a large update, I will post a notice and link back here to let you know. Otherwise, check back here every now and then and I’m sure you’ll find that I have added one or two more favorites.
If you would like to share a link with me, please email me at longhorn dot bee at gmail dot com (dots are periods, at is the @ symbol, remove all spaces)!
Enjoy!

P.S. I add to this list when I find good links… but with homeschooling and keeping my boys from destroying the world, you can imagine that it isn’t top on my list. I welcome suggestions FROM HOMESCHOOL MOMS (please do not leave suggestions in the comments as I will not publish them there – sadly, I have had quite a few businesses try to leave them there for free advertising).
P.S.S. If you are a company wanting to place a link here, I do not add free links. You can purchase a link at standard industry ad rates for embedded links with anchored text. I guarantee them for a year. They must be relevant to my audience and helpful to homeschoolers or they won’t make this list. Thanks for your cooperation.
Disclaimer: I may or may not at any given time have an affiliate link or sponsored link on this page (see P.S.S. above). I add and remove them when the need arises, so just assume that there are some. Also – this list was compiled in 2013 originally, so there are bound to be broken links by now. I’ll be back in and out to check them, but if you find a broken one… please do shoot me a text/email/tweet/FB message/IG comment – whatevs! ๐ Thank you!
AllyJo says
OH my. You’re killing me here. I’ll have to check these links out…I can’t resist links.

Oooo, I’m so glad you did this though it must have taken some time to compile all of this. I’ve already checked out a few links and will definitely have to come back. I’ve already bookmarked the page.

Thanks for this great list of tools! Here’s a site that I’ve been exploring and wanted to tell you about – c Bible Study Tools at Christianity.com has a huge library of tools with 29 translations commentaries, concordances, apocrypha, devotionals, lexicons, maps, e-books, and great reading plans. You can also highlight text, save your own notes, use a split screen panel so you can see two translations, a translation and a commentary, etc. I hope you get a chance to explore it!

AllyJo – Yeah, but remember – even though I am posting them all, that doesn’t mean I am some superhuman homeschooler who has had the time to really investigate and enjoy them all! ๐ I’m still browsing them myself. So far there are some real gems!
Isaiah5513 – Well, at least most of my links are up. It may take forever to get the rest of them on there from my past 3 years of posting.
Terri – ๐ Come on back when you have free time – whatever that is!?
Thanks for the extra links Anonymous. ๐
Crumbs – I added my name to your hat. Glad you liked the links.

Hi! What an amazing list…so many on here that I haven't seen before! Thanks so much for putting this together! I have also found a site called http://www.qwizzysworld.com that was founded by a mom in my area. It isn't subject-specific but rather allows you (or your kids, if they are old enough) to create study materials and practice quizzes from your own material. I taught elementary school before having my children and think it would be a great resource for teachers…and homeschooling parents too! I look forward to checking out some of your links, too!

Wow! What a tremendous list of resources! Congratulations on assembling such a comprehensive list.
I thought you might be interested in a website I run called Reading Rewards. It is an online reading log/reading incentive program used by parents, teachers and librarians worldwide. ย In a nutshell, kids log reading time, and earn points (RR Miles) for minutes read. Parents, teacher and/or librarians can then add custom rewards that kids can โpurchaseโ with their points. By connecting to friends, kids also get valuable book recommendations and can read and exchange about books they are reading. It is a completely free and safe program aimed at encouraging reading. I hope you’ll check it out!
Thanks again ๐
