Ready, set, GO! Voting begins at the Homeschool Blog Awards today! Actually, it is already underway. The Homeschool Blog Awards team is taking nominations through April 7th. Voting begins April 13th (Friday the 13th, that is!).
REMEMBER that these awards are for 2006! Blogs that started in 2007 (no matter how GREAT they are) can NOT be nominated. Save your favorite newest 2007 blogs for December’s 2007 Homeschool Blog Awards.
I have posted a few other tiny little rules over on the nominations page. If you want to be ‘teleported’ directly there, you can click the lovely graphic below:

Hi Sprittibee,
I had my nominations all typed out and the form on the website wouldn’t accept them: “No URLs?” I thought we had to include them…?
What do I do now?
Sprittibee says
Mama Squirrel:
We’ve been having trouble with the Homeschool Blog Awards website handling nominations that include the text: “http://”
SO, please exclude it from your nominations.
TYPE the URL as follows:
instead of http://sbees.blogspot.com…
USE:
sbees.blogspot.com
or
http://www.sbees.blogspot.com

Thanks newt. Your site is neat.

What about blogs that started at one blogging site but have recently moved to another? I know a bunch of those.
Mama Squirrel says
OK–I’ll do it that way. Can you let people know that on the website, because when we’re cutting and pasting URLS we get the whole thing.

We added a blurb about it! Thanks 🙂

SORRY FOR THE DELAY IN RESPONSES – I’ve been burried in nominations and life’s little distractions lately…
Karen – I guess it depends on if the blogger was an established blog somewhere else or they are switching themes. Such as… if they were NOT homeschoolers and then created a NEW homeschool blog – that wouldn’t count. But, if they were a homeschooling blog previously and just moved addresses, I guess it would. Then again, if they changed themes all-together and began blogging in a new style or on a new topic? I guess the call is up to you. But, if you want to nominate them, please do include both links with an explanation. 🙂
Thanks Mamasquirrel. We did it!
Heather – 🙂
Shelly – Thank you for the kind comment. 🙂 I had no idea when I took the photo that the dino was there. It jumped out at me once I got the photos home and uploaded them to my computer! I just thought the angle looked pretty. Little did I know that I discovered a woody dinosaur, peeking over the rocks.
