I’m STILL a little overwhelmed with our new school year schedule. The kids are, too. The homework has been hard to keep up with because we have a class on Tuesday (which they cram for on Monday) and a bunch of classes on Thursday (which they cram for on Wednesday), and with our appointments and service projects – and the two very distracting preschoolers under foot, … well… it has been a challenge!
We have noticed that eating at home more, doing a little school over the weekend, and having a plan all help us to feel a little less like we are drowning. A lot of that falls on mama’s shoulders. So here’s my plan for our menu this week, and their school assignments due by this Thursday (they took Friday and the weekend OFF this past week – to paint pumpkins in the park and go to a sleepover), so they just started on all of this work this morning!
Here are mama’s goals for this week:
To Do This Week
Clean kids rooms AGAIN, and change out winter/summer clothes
Finish organizing book cases
Make Menu/ Eat at home except for Thursday
Clip coupons and clean out coupon folder
Vacuum upstairs & Down AGAIN
Therapy apt. Monday
All day one-day classes, American Heritage Girls Camp Out this weekend
Review nominations & help set up voting polls for the Homeschool Blog Awards
Early Vote
Reformat my laptop AGAIN
Figure out why the iPhone isn’t charging (Apple Store Thursday)
Get November Ads up for the Post, schedule the week’s posts
Remind husband to get his parent safety certification for the upcoming camping trip
Plan a possible girl hang-out weekend (plotting and scheming)… BUMMER, fell through
Crazy week, as usual. We just keep on truckin’.
