This is the song that was in my head the morning that my friend’s daughter graduated …. and they played this song during the graduation. Don’t you love it when God gives you a little tidbit multiple times, as if He means it just for you? I just love old hymns. This is one of my favorites. The words are beautiful.
What have you been creating this week/weekend?
Tonight I made brownies without grains, asian lettuce wraps without actually cooking anything, and I’ve got a pot of chicken broth on the stove.
Last week was so crazy and busy that I didn’t even get a menu made. I did, however, manage to edit photos for my photography client, get my bags unpacked from convention, and I blogged a little.
I painted some trim on the bathroom window, too. Not sure that counts as creative, but it sure made things look prettier.
My “little” girl bought me a new plant, and I’ve been reading a book about permiculture (gardening with sustainability in mind – “intended as a contraction of permanent and agriculture” / as opposed to monoculture or PHARMING).
I’m looking forward to a larger garden.
What are you looking forward to? This week? Sometime soon? What are your summer plans?
The weekend is such a blessing… time to ponder and create! Even if it’s just a batch of brownies.
“Riches I heed not, nor vain, empty praise;
thou mine inheritance, now and always;
thou and thou only first in my heart,
high King of heaven, my treasure thou art.”

Love that hymn!
