Thanksgiving. A national holiday set aside to praise our Creator and count our blessings. My favorite holiday of the year.
How am I spending this Thanksgiving? Taking care of my sick daughter, folding laundry, and making enchiladas for dinner. Still, I’m thankful for much, and not complaining – there’s sunshine outside, the weather is cool, we have a roof over our heads, heat to warm us, and our bills are somewhat paid… not to mention, my mom made it through a life-or-death illness a while back (very thankful she’s still alive, even if I can’t see her at Thanksgiving with Morgan sick), and our family is mostly healthy – despite a short and momentary illness that we’re all doing our best to battle with vitamins, herbs, and medicines.
I thought I would re-visit a few past Thanksgiving posts to remember what we were up to on this day all these years ago since I’ve been blogging. There are quite a few posts to pick from since I’ve been here at this site since 2005.
Memory lane: my past blog entries about Thanksgiving, worth a re-read…

And as if those aren’t enough Thanksgivingy links for you, today, I thought I would end with a link about the history of Thanksgiving. Interesting reading you might not know about, unless you were alive when FDR was president. For a more thorough history of the original Thanksgiving with the Wampanoag and Pilgrims at Plymouth, check out the Plimoth.org site. Lots of great tidbits to tuck between your discussions over turkey and dressing there!
I hope you are making wonderful Thanksgiving memories today with your family.
{ God bless you and yours. }
