We’ve been a great many field trips in all the years I’ve homeschooled. We started homeschooling in 2001. I began blogging about it in 2005, and many of our field trips have been documented in some fashion here. I still have a ton to get blogged, but homeschooling got ahead of me – my eldest is now graduated and in college. Now that I’m just homeschooling my two younger kids – who are in elementary school and looking forward to trying to get in a bunch of field trips with mom themselves, I’m making a list of our blogged trips here. I’ll be adding to it frequently.
I put a list of the field trips I hope to blog about soon at the bottom of this post just for kicks. I used to list field trips on annual lists of where we went each year and link them every time I was able to get to them, but it makes much more sense to have them all in one post.
We have trips on this list in Texas, Arkansas (where we lived for 2 years), and a few out of state trips as I have traveled with my photography business and as a blogger many times. We love a good road trip and enjoy traveling very much. If I had the money, I would do it all the time! We take every opportunity we can to hit the road!
Field trips are one of my favorite parts of homeschooling. They aren’t just for little kids. This homeschool mom loves them, too!
